Department Library
Vision
Books are created through the processes of thoughts, ideas, concepts, views, experiences, knowledge, etc. When you hear the word Library, you connect it to the term Books. Library is considered as part and parcel of every academic set-up. It is the main resource centre of information and aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for faculty and students of the institute. So, all students, faculty members and employees of the department are entitled to make use of the Library facilities. The ETC department Library is well-stocked with subject textbooks, Project books, magazines, entrance exam books, etc.
Objective
- The ETC department Library enables educational and research success by teaching people how to locate, assess and use the resources to meet their needs.
Resources
To cater to the wide varieties of demands of students and faculty and considering Educational information needs, ETC Departmental library has been enhanced with:
- Various titles of textbooks
- Project theses of past academic years are maintained.
- Competitive Exam Books like GRE, GATE, Aptitude, Reasoning
- Magazines
- Semester Question Papers
- Internal Test Papers
Instructions
- The library is open round the year in official breaks except on Public Holidays.
- Each student can issue maximum of two books from the library.
- Students should show their identity cards to the staff in-charge for identification at the time of using any library facility and borrowing books.
- Any book reported to be lost by the borrower should be replaced by a new one.
- Books will be issued to the students for one week provided there are no copies in the main library.
- Depending upon the demand of the book & the number of copies available, the period of issue can be changed on request by the staff in-charges.
- Few magazines, project reports, IT papers and Semester Question Papers are available for reference.
- Books should be returned on the due dates. Delayed returns will be entertained only on payment of fine of Rs. 20/- per day of delay.
- Book donations are always welcome.
- Books can be issued by staff as well.
